I woke up with Peter Cottontail stuck in my head and figured that's a sign from the universe that it's time to think about bunnies and chickies and decorating eggs and Easter time! And what better way to spread a little Easter/springtime cheer than with some fun finds from Etsy! May your Easter Baskets be filled with handmade goodies this year! (and jellybeans. oh, and peeps. and a chocolate bunny, of course. and...oh, I better stop)

Birds and flowers are perfect representations of renewal and awakening for the spring season. Here's some inexpensive art from etsy that celebrates both so you can add a little springtime wonder to your walls:
Morphism print by groovy inclinations
Bird print over vintage sheet music by Sofia Barao
As you like it emboridered page by Pinky Brown
(*note: this week's site of the week is more an "artist of the week" as I couldn't find one main site that she sells from)
I feel renewed, revamped, re-inspired. I used to make and sell jewelry on my own site, but then I started modish and the jewelry went by the wayside as I was having way too much fun with this. Now I'm opening modishoppe soon (very soon!!) and was thinking of starting to make jewelry again to include there; after seeing the work of Joli Jewelry by Jody Lyons, I know for sure I want to start creating again! I'm totally inspired by her use of color and shape and how she puts things together in ways that I could never dream of! Every creation is fun, gorgeous and totally one-of-a-kind, and I'm both in awe and jealous of the amazing vintage pieces included in her designs! Find incredible Joli Jewelry brooches, necklaces, earrings and more at the Curiosity Shoppe, HapaCulture, Stylism or Clay Pot! (ps: if anyone can find a personal site for Jody, let me know! I searched and searched to no avail)
These "Mimi Galaxie" rings from Rose Flash's new Constellation line are simply out of this world! (sorry, couldn't resist the bad pun.) Featuring Czech glass stars and colorful beads wrapped up with orbital style bright wire, these unique rings are fun and funky and perfect for spring! Check them out along with her new earrings, necklaces and bracelets at Rose Flash!
Head to Galleria Pangea to find handmade goods by Asian artisans! Enter "decor" at checkout to receive 5% off your order!
Cute as a button and twice as stylee, it's Annalaura! This Melbourne based shop sells bags and badges, one of which is used as their myspace profile pic which is what attracted me to check out the shop in the first place! I was pleasantly surprised to discover retro style little felt ladies and cute screen-printed bags. Check things out for yourself at Annalaura!
The real winner of March Madness has not yet been decided, but the winner of our "March Madness" Giveaway has! Check out again when the lucky winner will be taking home, worth $630!

And the winner is......miss Eva all the way from San Sebastian, Spain! Yes, we're spreading the indie goodness all over the world here at Modish. Congrats to Eva!! And another HUGE thank you to all the indie shops who donated their goodies and thank you to everyone who signed up to win! Next month, the winner could be you! :)
Thanks Bloesem for introducing me to Tas-ka and their new online store! I love these brooches handmade from embroidered leather and felt scraps (I think?) each one-of-a-kind and beautiful.

Now, if I can just figure out how to read Dutch (I think?) real quick, I can order me some!
Visit Michelle Smith for stylish gifts for you and your home!
...that jingle jangle jingle! Well, I don't quite "have" them, but I have found them.
I love these bunches earrings by Nina Dinoff not only for their simple sophistication, but because they seem like they would subtly jingle while you walked around, if you got caught in a breeze, as they brushed up against your hair. And for some reason, I like that. I feel like I'm being followed around by fairies, like Tinkerbell is with me, or my guardian angel is standing near. Add a little happy jingle in your life with these gorgeous, dangling sterling silver earrings, and check out Nina's other lovely silver creations, like this beautiful ring and these modern earrings!
I have a new favorite blog- "How about orange..." How about, it's great! It features diy tutorials (like how to make the cute fabric covered push pins below- I can't wait to try!) links to fun quizzes (check out the results of my right brain/left brain quiz on my personal blog), pretty desktop wallpaper you can download, and design stuff. Written by a semi-sarcastic graphic designer who likes the color orange, it's just the bee's knees and I'm so bummed I didn't find it sooner! I have already sought fit to exploit it fully for procrastination purposes and thought that you might like to do the same.
I feel like today's a good day to focus on bags. Perhaps I'm in a hoarding mood? I'm not sure. Perhaps I'm just a typical girl in search for the perfect spring bag? That could very well be the case too. This bag by Stephanie Nance is a little bit spring in beautiful butter yellow, a little bit rock and roll with the chain handle and a whole lotta vintage sheik with the great clutch styling and, yes, that is a gen-u-wine, vintage Thunderbird logo on it! It's a one-of-a-kind bag for a one-of-a-kind girl. Can you rock it? Check out other "Mother Trucker" bags on Stephanie's site or in her etsy shop along with some incredible art and fun jewelry!
Take a peek at the stunning jewelry at Stunning Details! Put "modish" in the comments section at checkout and you'll receive a 15% refund on your order!
Oooh golly, these dollybags just have modish written all over them! Made by Olga and Maria from a variety of vintage, modern and funky reclaimed fabrics, these bags are stylish, contemporary and oh so hip! Check out a few of my favorites from their winter 06 collection:
I think I want them all. I haven't exactly figured out how to order one yet from the lovely dollybags site, but they do have an etsy shop you can find some of the styles in. Also, you can probably just e-mail them for something specific or purchase one directly from their dealers. Oh those Netherlanders never cease to amaze me, and neither does Sherry from Pequitobun who laid down the hot tip! ;) Thanks Sherry!
Take a look at Spipo Designs for spirited jewelry you can wear everyday!
For all your whiskey drinkin' needs, forget about those old scratched up shot glasses you've had since college and take a peek at this pretty stoneware "clashing plaids" set!
From sake to scotch you can be sipping in style from these unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-thrown shot glasses. They feature a cool "plaid" design in blue and black, with one special glass in white with pink and blue stripes (that one's for the birthday girl!) Find more fun stoneware treats at Mandy Gerth's shop, including cool coasters, and more!
Check out Nek for gorgeous, antique styled jewelry that's super unique! Use code MODISHIP for free shipping (use as many times as you'd like) or MODISH20 for 20% off your order! (good one time only)

This lovely dress by Paper Doll Fashion is named after Lou Reed, not because of its fierce rock and roll attitude, although that'd be fitting as well, but because it features a pretty reed motif on it! Handmade from start to finish with an awesome "banana boat" neckline with contrast fabric on the shoulders, cap sleeves, and a slimming contrast waistband in khaki.

Even in its subtle colors, this dress definitely has attitude! And with spring here (or "on the way" in many parts of the country) it's the perfect season to don a little white, stretchy, super flattering dress. It's one of a kind so snatch it up fast! And if you find yourself in some foreign land, shopping boutiques built along cobblestone streets while wearing your perfect esparadilles, this is the dress you need to wear. Find it along with more unique fashions at Paper Doll!
I first saw Jennifer Morris' work on indie fixx and was so impressed my jaw just about dropped to the floor! Why? Because each bead you see in her jewelry has been completely made by hand out of polymer clay! I was a "clay artiste" myself when I was little, making lots of hippie like stars, suns and mushrooms for my middle school compatriots (my first home business!) but I could never dream of making anything as intricate and exquisite as these!
From button style post earrings:
To luscious dangle earrings:

Even gorgeous brooches!
Check out all of Jennifer's romantic jewelry, with vintage rhinestone and crystal accents, in her shop! Each piece is labored over with love and is one-of-a-kind!
I'll give you bad news first...my long time favorite online consignment shop, Copacetique, has closed its doors. :( Oh how it will be missed! The good news is, they closed because owner Janice got a new gig as a graphic designer at Fred Flare! And, to celebrate, Fred Flare is offering their employee discount, 25% off anything in the store, to everyone! Just use code moving.0307! (excludes sale items)
I caught wind of this late and the sale will only be going on through tomorrow, so get over there fast! And wish Janice a big fat congrats and much luck! I hope New York treats you well, miss Janice!
Nanopod studio offers jewelry making classes and sells work by its founder, Tosca! Check it out if you're up in Toronto or shop online!
I love silver jewelry, love Portland, love organic shapes and of course love things that are handmade so I was thrilled to find all my loves tied up into one pretty little package at Discomedusa! I first noticed the work of Discomedusa on myspace and after checking out her profile and shop, I decided, she shall be my myspace pick of the week! Her jewelry is beautiful and unique, check it out for yourself!

Is that the name of a tv show or something? "Do you know Dallas?" Well perhaps it well should be because Dallas, Dallas Shaw, is someone you should definitely get to know! Her work has been recently featured on design*sponge and oh joy! for its vintagey, classic, fashion laden feel. And now, Dallas wants to let everyone know that you can purchase her work while also helping out some good causes!
This month she's selling the print on the left through Pretty Darn Swell and will be donating 20% of her proceeds there to the American Diabetes Association and she's working with Build a Nest to sell the print on the right and will donate 25% of all proceeds to their "Shop to Save the World" campaign. So, shop for a good cause, and find more of Dallas' work on her own site, www.dallasshaw.com. If you're interested in purchasing a piece from her directly, just email her! See, now you know Dallas!
